Hello everyone!

 June 2021

The Village Hall AGM was held on Tuesday 25th May in the Village Hall, following Covid restriction guidelines.  The meeting was chaired by John Widdowson, Trustee and covered many usual subjects such as finances, use of the hall during the last year and potential plans for 2021 - providing we do achieve full release of lockdown restrictions.

The main business of the evening was to vote in a new Village Hall Committee - which now comprises of Bev Waters, Keith Wright, Jonathon Pearce and Susan White.  Gareth Rossiter agreed to remain on the committee for a temporary period as he has been dealing with the developers of the new houses over the boundary and septic tank  between the Village Hall and Brook Green and it seemed sensible for him to see that through.  Thank you for staying on Gareth!

Huge thanks was given to the outgoing committee of Alison Wright and Michael and Elaine Bishop for all their hard work, particularly over the last year and also the excellent state of repair of the hall.

Cheselbourne Village School continues to use the Village Hall during the week, Fai's Thai on the 2nd and 4th Friday and we look forward to welcoming back the gardening club and any other community groups.

We are very interested in hearing from you if you would like to hire the hall, start up a new community group or just feed into the committee any ideas you have going forward.  The new committee will be meeting shortly and would value any input from the residents of Cheselbourne!

If you would be interested in giving some of your time to help your local community and join the committee please let me know and we'd love to welcome you.

Kind regards

The Post Office is returning to the Village Hall from Thursday 10th June from 8.30am to 9.30am.  Please note that hand gel must be used and masks put on before entering the hall.
