UP AND COMING EVENTS -

19th May 2026 7pm - Annual General Meeting of Cheselbourne Village Hall.  All welcome - agenda available before the event on request through the Village Hall email address.  It is also posted on the two village notice boards - one outside the Village School and one outside The Rivers Arms. Do come and join us.

6th June 2026 from 6pm - Curry night.  £15 per person, its essential you book your tickets with Jeremy & Marilyn Smith on 07990 505566.  The evening will feature a 1945 Renault Camionette which has been converted to a bar which will be parked in the Village Hall Car Park plus music from the 70's and 80's.  Hope you can join us either at 6pm for drinks or from 7pm for food.

Our monthly Village Hall Café continues to run on the second Saturday of each month. So do join us for bacon, egg, sausage butties and usual cakes and tea and coffee. Its a great opportunity to meet your neighbours particularly if you are new to the village.  We have also had a couple of cycle clubs start to make us a regular refreshment stop. Again if you would like to help with this please let us know.  

We also need more volunteers on the Village Hall Committee - it really isn't on onerous role but 'many hands make light work' with only a couple of meetings a year and decision making largely being done via WhatsApp!  Do let us know if you would like to contribute and help out.

CHESELBOURNE VILLAGE HALL in the picturesque countryside of Dorset provides an ideal venue for functions, parties and meetings.

  • The hall has a fully equipped kitchen, hall and toilets and is fully accessible and heated.
  • The hall furniture can be arranged to meet a variety of needs.
  •  Off road parking is available in front of the hall
  • We also have a small field that can be used for outside events or to supplement events in the actual hall

The Village Hall is located opposite Cheselbourne First School in the heart of the village.  Post Code DT2 7NS

The Post Office is at the Village Hall every Thursday from 1.30 to 3.30pm.  Services offered include all postage services, banking transactions and cash withdrawal.  Please use the service or we will lose it !!
